So I haven’t updated In I while as we are trying to get into a normal routine now that Felix has it hit maintenance. Maintenance by any means doesn’t mean he is done with chemo, just means he doesn’t have to get it as frequent. He still has 14 more month of chemotherapy and lumbar punctures to check his MRD level ,Although we don’t have to travel to Boston weekly we still have to go every 3 weeks or more if he gets sick. The new normal for now is we give him chemo at home, he gets Methotrexate pushed directly into his muscle. Along with his regular protocol of 6mp, dexamethasone and bactrim. He has been attending school when he can, which is sometimes all week or sometimes not at all or a few days here and there. The Side effects of the methotrexate can’t be brutal but so far he hasn’t had many except nausea and fatigue.
Life happens and we are handling the hand we were dealt. We defiantly couldn’t of done it without the help of this amazing community Thank you to all of you who have been here. You know who you are❤️❤️
